Sailing Greek islands 22nd June 2019

I am assembling a crew of international travelers types and friends to sail for a week among the Greek islands.

I have done it before and look forward to do it again.

The trip is absolutely the 22nd June for 7 nights ex Athens traveling to near islands with their historic places, ancient port towns, secluded bays and family run tavernas.

Sailing experience is not necessary, but nice to have as there is plenty of sailing to be done!

The cabin price is 1300 EUROS (max 2 people) and likely to get a little cheaper as we bargain for the best boat to suit the crowd size. Food, Beverages, flights and transfers extra.

Currently have 1 x USA couple, 1 Canadian girl and 1 French girl.

This trip suits inclusion should you already have European holiday plans at this time.

FAQ:

What boat will we take?
The preference is for a sailing catamaran 40 foot or greater. It would have 4 double cabins and at least 2 shower and toilets. The prime benefit is the extra space on deck for laying about AND private space for people needing private time. Cat's are more stable while also enabling us to stay out of the "marina circus" that pervades in the Greek island town ports. Cat's become real for headcounts of 5,6,7,8. At these headcounts, the price is similar to a monohull sailing yacht with 3,4,5,6 people.

How far can we go?
With a 7 day charter and including the need to back in the home port on the Friday night, we are limited to near islands. On a prior trip that included lots of sailing, I was able to get to and island that was 122km from Athens.

Will we go to Mikinos or Santorini?
To get to these islands would require sailing great distances for 16 hours a day or more. As much as I love sailing, myself and the vast majority of crew never want this as part of their experience.

When do I need to be in Athens?
Preferably the night of Friday 21st June in Athens, or first thing in the morning Friday 22nd June.
